YCP METAL CLEANER
The amount of useful stuff you
can buy at amazon.com is simply
astounding. One of the newest items
offered by the mammoth Internet
retailer is a marine metal polish and
cleaner from Yacht Club Products.
YCP-Marine Metal Polish is
manufactured without waxes
or petroleum distillates, which,
according to the company, makes it
safe for waterways and provides
a big shine without harming
the environment.
The polish is made from micro-fine, premium-grade oxide powders
blended into a semi-cream paste that
polishes, protects, and preserves all
metals on boats, says Betty Johnson,
marketing director for YCP-Yacht
Club Products. “Boaters have the
choice to ‘go green’ without giving
up on quality or performance,”
Johnson adds.
YCP is a division of Formax
Manufacturing Corp., which
produces buffing compounds,
polishing wheels, and other
products. Amazon.com lists the
cleaner for $15. Dial 888.457.4463

BURN LESS DIESEL
WITH WALKER’S FUELSEP
Walker Engineering, builder of
the renowned Walker AIRSEP
closed-crankcase system for diesel
engines, is now offering its
well-regarded FUELSEP “no
maintenance” fuel treatment device
in various packages to promote
clean, efficient combustion and to
help boat owners fight the high
cost of diesel.
FUELSEP
The typical FUELSEP vessel
package includes two main engine
FUELSEPs, one genset FUELSEP,
three sets of fitting kits, and three
fuel installation lines, all offered at
a price that is less than what you
would pay if you purchased the
components separately. Packages
are available for single-motor and
multiple-genset applications, as well.
The FUELSEP has been
used on marine diesel engines
worldwide since 1998, with nearly
20,000 units in marine, commercial
truck, and land-based generator
service. The product is widely
accepted as one of the best ways
to improve fuel economy, reduce
transom soot deposits, and reduce
greenhouse gases.
Walker’s FUELSEP has a five-year or 5,000-hour life and is easy
to install. FUELSEP vessel kits are
available for use on yachts with
Caterpillar, Cummins, Detroit
Diesel, MTU, and other popular
diesel propulsion engines. The
FUELSEP is also sized for diesel
generators, including those made
by Onan, Koehler, Westerbeke,
and Northern Lights.
