NEWS & NOTES
by on the water, but U-Line’s
elegant and economical ice makers
can solve that problem.
The sleek, corrosion- and UV-resistant Origins 95 models
dependably produce a hefty
22 lb. of ice daily from a mere
2-3/4 gallons of water. These
built-in, under-counter workhorses
are equally energy efficient,
requiring minimal electricity
and maintenance. A see-through,
removable ice bucket stores 12 lb.
of ice. With their front-vented
design, field-reversible door, and
no drain, U-Line ice makers can
fit into nearly any convenient
location. The only requirement
is a 1/4-inch-outside-diameter
waterline connection.
While under way, a travel
pin keeps the ice maker’s door
firmly closed. Available in white
(WH95TP), black (BI95BTP), and
stainless steel (SS95), the ice makers
measure 24-3/4 by 13-15/16 by 17
inches and come in either 110/115
volts 60Hz or 220/230 volts 50Hz.
A 1/2-inch mounting flange
surrounds the cabinet front on the
white and black models. The
BI95BTP also accepts a 1/4-inch
panel insert to match surrounding
decor. List prices start at $982.
The SS1095:
Another Way To Keep Cool
Add a sleek edge to any galley,
bridge, or aft deck with a new
ice maker from U-Line that’s
designed for interior and exterior
applications. The latest addition to
the company’s line of efficient and
compact appliances, the SS1095 is
available in three installation options
to satisfy a range of personal tastes.
With three flange choices, any
boater can add an individual touch
to his or her home away from
home. Options include a 1/2-inch
mounting flange flush to the front
of the door, a 1/2-inch mounting
flange flush to the front of the
cabinet, or no flange for freestanding or built-in installations.
Small but powerful, the SS1095
produces up to 23 lb. of ice a day
and stores up to 12 lb. at a time.
This ice maker’s newly designed
positive-catch latch keeps the
door securely closed and allows
opening with one hand. Hardware
components on this model are UV
and corrosion resistant to keep it
in top shape through all types of
weather conditions.
