TRADITIONAL YACHTS AND
AMERICAN TUGS
I had a quick note from Greg
Clark at Traditional Yachts, the East
Coast dealer for American Tugs.
He had encouraging words to say
about recent business at American
Tugs, but just as importantly, an
announcement about a planned
Pacific Northwest adventure.
“I am announcing our Alaska
Adventure trip for June,” Clark said.
“We have four new boats building
right now on the roster. We have
one more production slot available
for anyone that may be interested
in purchasing a new Tug and
participating in a guided tour to
Alaska! This will be our sixth trip.
“We planned a brisk trip north
from our factory docks in Laconner,
Wasington up the Inside Passage
to Ketchikan, and then we’ll slow
everything down to start the fun
part. Misty Fiords, Anan Bay for bear
watching, Glacier Bay, and Skagway
are just a few of the planned ports
of call. A Dungeness crab catching
contest will be a daily event, and the
winner buys drinks on their boat!
“We have a very loose itinerary
and plan to be back at the factory in
August, where we will then ship the
various boats to the owner’s home
state after each boat gets a careful
once over by the factory. What a sea
trial they are going to have!
