I've spoken over the last number of months about why this is a great time to buy a custom
boat. Yards are quiet and looking for work. The time left for you to enjoy it is not
increasing. In the interest of propriety, I'll not be more specific.
But I understand making such a decision is always difficult and even more so
in fluky economic times. So don't fret about whether or not to build or buy
the boat. Concentrate on the dream. That's really the fun part anyway.
I'm working with a client now who's had such a dream for years.
Unfortunately it became sidelined for some of the same reasons
that affect many of us. Still the owner has decided not to shelve
it until, if, when, or whether life's outlook seems more promising. He's decided to explore the possibilities.
The result: we're developing with him a "virtual boat". Hopefully if the boating gods smile, it's likely to morph into a real one, but not quite
yet. So no, you won't be able to climb on it or cruise in it. You will be able to watch as the boat leisurely develops. That allows time to
unleash your own creativity and explore the alternatives. And it doesn't mean you won't have something to show for the effort. The tools
available today to bring your dream into focus are incredible. Plan and profile drawings are just the starting point. Amazing photo realistic 3d
images like you see in magazines have become affordable, essential design tools for us. The images created allow you to virtually climb aboard
as well as share your vision with family and friends.
Believe me when you are ready to build, the real boat will turn out better for the time and thought invested. Down the road if, for whatever
reason, you should choose not, I know you'll still treasure the beautiful images that defined your dream.
But then that’s just my opinion. . .
